About Us
This shop is the production of two
friends who,
although miles apart and never
having met in person,
developed a deep and truly beautiful
friendship.
The items we offer here in our shop
are a direct result of that
friendship.
The love that we have developed for
each other is evident in each item
we offer here.
The diversity you see in our
selection of wares, which range from
lotions to amulets,
is what also makes us, The Mystic
Moon Dance, unique and special.

The three things that I am most
passionate about are animals,
children and my spiritual walk.
I have been working with children
and families for years now in many
different ways. Four years ago
I decided to switch from being a
social worker to being a special
education teacher. So...I went
back to graduate school and got my
degree in special education (my
previous graduate degree was in
social work). My job exhausts
me...and often breaks my heart...but
it also makes me feel as if I am
making a difference in the lives of
the children I work with. They
know I love them...and for some that
means the world.
In my spare time I spoil my four
dogs. Two of them are sisters
from the same liter (you can read
more about that on our "Glass Block
Night Light" page) and my two boys
are ones that I rescued from abusive
backgrounds. Benjamin I found
in the parking lot at work when he
was 5 months old...he was starving,
scared half to death and very
clearly abused. Almost two
years later he is happy, obnoxious
and has pretty much taken over the
joint...LOLO. Festis was my
neighbors' dog. My neighbor
passed away and Festis was left in
his deceased owners' house
alone...with a relative desperately
trying to find him a new home.
I took him in as a foster pet and he
won my heart. I learned of the
hell he had been through first as a
street pup and then being abused by
some very bad people and I knew I
had to keep him to be sure he would
never be hurt again. My little
girl Peppermint is blind, diabetic,
has an autoimmune deficiency and now
is entering the beginning stages of
renal failure. She is my hero
and I look up to her every day.
She has endured so much pain and yet
stays my sweet loving little girl
with a heart the size of the
universe.
I stand up for the ones who cannot
stand up for themselves because I
was one of them once. I had
the kind of childhood I want to save
others from having. I do my
best and I love them all no matter
what. No child and no animal
is ever unlovable in my eyes.
My spiritual walk is what has saved
me, helped to grow and helped me to
remember who I truly am. I am
still learning, growing and
remembering. I have been
blessed with people who came along
to help. Brenda is one of
those people and I love her very
much. My human and animal
guides have been my rock. My
connection to my ancestors has saved
my life and filled it with magic.
I wish to thank all of those who
walk with me in person and in
spirit...I don't know where I would
be without you. Special thanks
to my brother Audie, my daughter
Amber, my friend and my sister
Christine and my sister Colleen for
choosing to remain with me in spirit
and guide me. I miss your
touch...but am always surrounded by
your love.
To all who chose to join us at "The
Mystic Moon Dance" WELCOME!
May you find comfort, peace and joy
while you are here. we send
you blessings and love.
