"Love Thine Enemy"

This is something that I was having a problem understanding. I could understand why you should love someone's soul even though you didn't like their actions. But to be the love that you are you should love your enemy? I was really having problems with why this was so important. Today the Holy Spirit explained the true meaning of this statement.

Here is what he said:
"The only true enemy that you have is yourself. Your ego is your enemy. The struggle in everyone's life is within themselves, between your ego and your soul. This struggle is over which will command your heart and your mind, your ego which only knows judgment or your soul which only knows compassion. By learning to love yourself you are learning to love your enemy. Your soul is taking command of your heart and your mind. The more you let your soul command your heart and your mind the more you will understand who you truly are. You cannot love and have compassion for your brothers and sisters here on the earth plane until you can learn to love and have compassion for yourself."

I thanked the Holy Spirit for this knowledge he gave to me and now I truly understand the importance of loving thine enemy. When people understand this and learn to let their soul command their hearts and minds, then there will be heaven here on earth. I know also that this is easy to say but not so easy to do because of the realities that our ego's have presented to us throughout our lifetime on this earth plane.

The saying "You are your own worst enemy," truly has a whole new meaning to me. Understanding the truth of that one simple statement is a very powerful message. As I have stated before the key to everything is simply to  be the love that you are. You will truly love thine enemy, which is yourself.

When you were a child you had no enemy. At this point you had not been taught to have fear, guilt, jealousy, competition, and hate. Your soul was commanding your heart and your mind. Over time, as we matured, we gave this command over to our ego and judgment instead of compassion ruled our lives. We were taught to judge everything and everyone by a certain set of standards. This is when we became our own worst enemy. This is when we stopped loving ourselves and tried to be someone else.

Retaining our childlike qualities, eliminating judgment, and having compassion will happen when we let our soul command our hearts and our minds. Peace, joy, and happiness will come to you and in return you can try to bring peace, joy, and happiness to others. This is what Mother and Father God want for us and we will know this when we have faith and consciousness.
