THE THREE GIFTS

Today I would like to offer you three gifts. These gifts are the greatest gifts I can give and that you will ever receive. These three gifts will never wear out, break down, or have to be repaired. They will last you a lifetime. Once you have received these gifts you can give them to others. These three gifts will bring you and anyone you give them to more peace. joy, and happiness than any other gift ever has. Each gift will build upon the previous gift. 

The first gift I would like to give to you is forgiveness. Forgive yourself for all emotions that no longer serve you during this lifetime. Then forgive others for the same thing. Through forgiveness you let go of the past, make peace with life, and live in the "now". This is the first step to eliminating judgment. Through forgiving yourself, you release yourself from your own judgment. Through forgiving others, you release them from judgment. Judgment is the creator of all negativity. The power and importance of forgiveness can not be measured but it is truly immense. Forgiveness opens the door for you to receive the second gift.

The second gift is compassion. Compassion is simply understanding. When you understand you no longer judge. Compassion brings forth great peace. Through understanding there comes greater knowledge. Greater knowledge brings forth greater truths and as it is said "the truth will set you free." When you learn to have compassion for yourself then you can learn to have compassion for others. What you sow, so shall you reap. Doesn't it just make sense to have compassion for yourself and for others. Compassion opens the door to receiving the third gift.

The third gift is love. Love is Mother and Father God. We are all their children so we are love also. Love yourself for who you truly are and then you can love others for who they truly are. The message that Jesus gave us is so simple but yet so true, "Love God, and love your neighbors as you love yourself." Love is what brings great joy and happiness into your life. Giving love will bring great joy and happiness to others. 

The more forgiveness you have, the  more compassion you will have, the more compassion you have the more love you have. Each gift builds upon the previous gift. Here on earth we relate gifts to material things but truly the greatest gifts are all of us. True wealth is inside each and everyone of us. 

Shortly after I was inspired to write this page my daughter Shannon was shot and killed by her boyfriend. I am not going to go into any detail about my life or Shannon's life but Shannon and I had not spoken to each other but twice in the last 5 1/2 years. We could not forgive each other for the pain and suffering we had put each other through. Since she has crossed over to the Other Side we have communicated and both of us have been able to give and receive the first gift from each other. From that point we were able to move quickly to giving and receiving the second and third gifts. Because we were both unwilling to give and receive these gifts before, we missed out on five and a half years of each others lives. 

I truly have been shown the importance and the urgency in the giving and receiving of these three gifts. I have, as a manager, always said that a small problem unattended to over a period of time becomes a disaster and I see now that this not only relates to the business world. There is an old song by the Rolling Stones and the verse says "time is on my side," this is not true. If you daily give to yourself and to others these three gifts it will change your life.
