THE SIMPLE TRUTH ENJOY
THE JOURNEY As I have
stated many times, we are all here on a journey of spiritual growth. Growing in spirit,
growing in the Light of Love that you are is what this journey is all about. Our growth is
not only individual Soul growth, it is also growth for our Soul Family. Do you understand
what I just said? Let me explain, think of the family unit here on earth. When something
happens that effects one family member, does it in some manner effect other members of the
family unit? This is also the way it is in Spirit, only on a much larger scale than you
could possibly ever imagine. This is why there is such great honor, respect, and love from
those in Spirit for us who are incarnate in this physical dimension right now. We are here
experiencing for ourselves, for our family in Spirit, and for Mother and Father God.
To help you understand this journey of
spiritual growth I am going to compare this to taking a family vacation. Let us imagine
that we are taking a vacation trip or journey to Hawii. The first thing that we are going
to do is plan the vacation is it not. This is the Life Plan that you made on the Other
Side before you incarnated. The first part of this plan is to decide the starting date and
the ending date of this journey. You have to arrange the flight plans to maximize your
time spent on vacation. The next thing you will plan is
your hotel accommodations or where you are going to stay. You wish for these hotel
accommodations to be close to many of the attractions you wish to see while you are on
vacation. This compares to the family that you choose in your Life Plan. After you have
planned your hotel accommodations you then start planning all of the things you would like
to do and see while you are in Hawii. You try to plan this out so that you can accomplish
all that you wish to accomplish during this vacation. This planning process is one of
great joy and anticipation. This is the same way you make your Life Plan on the Other
Side. You plan your experiences for this journey. Your Life Plan is completed with great
joy and anticipation. Finally the time has arrived and you
are all packed. You have said goodbye to all of the loved ones who have come to see you
off and you are getting on the plane. You are going to Hawii on vacation. You are ready to
enjoy the journey. As the plane takes off you can now relax and get ready to have
fun. As we all know plans are plans and
reality is reality. Sometimes the reality is better than the plans and sometimes the plan
is better than the reality. Whichever way it is, we can still enjoy the journey.
I have an experience that Brenda and I had
that proves this. Brenda and I did a weekend getaway thing a few years ago and we went to
Sea World in Cleveland. Our plan was to drive to Cleveland and stay in a hotel Friday
night, go to Sea World on Saturday night, and drive home on Sunday. We arrived at our
hotel on Friday night and Saturday morning drove about 25 miles to Sea World. We had a
wonderful day, seeing all of the shows and buying gifts for ourselves and some of our
family members. It was about time for the Grand Finale Show so Brenda and I decided to
take our packages out to the car and then go back to watch the Grand Finale. While we were
putting our packages in the car there was a strong smell of gasoline. I looked under the
car and there was a puddle of gas, our gas tank had a leak. We decided we had better leave
immediately and get to a gas station and see if we could get it fixed. We drove about two
miles to this very small town and it only had one gas station but luckily it was still
open. I went inside and asked the gentleman working there if there was anyone who could
fix the gas tank. He said no and that the mechanic would not be in until Monday morning. I
asked him if there were any Cab companies that I could call to get us back to the hotel
and he said no. I then asked him, if there was a phone I could use and he said there was a
pay phone about a block away. At that moment, I hadnt noticed but there was a young
man in his early twenties who had been standing behind me and heard my story and he tapped
me on my shoulder and he said maybe I can help you. He told me that he was the mechanic
that worked there but he wasnt supposed to do any work in the garage after hours. He
asked if he could take a look at my car and I said Hell yes. He looked at the
gas tank and told me it was unrepairable. My heart sank. He then said he had a gas tank at
home that he was sure would fit my car. He asked Brenda and I if we would like to ride
with him to get the gas tank and we said yes. We rode with him to his house, he got the
gas tank and then we drove back to the gas station. By now the gas station was closed but
of course he had a key. He drove my car into the bay, put it up on the lift and proceeded
to take the old tank off and put the other tank on. We had never mentioned once between us
what this was going to cost me. When he was done, he pushed the car out to the gas pump
and filled the tank up. I then asked him, How much do I owe you? He said you
owe me $14.00 for the gas. I about fell over when he said this. After I argued with him
for a few minutes I finally got him to take $80.00 which left Brenda and I enough money to
home on. You talk about plans and reality. What a blessing this young man was. This is one journey that Brenda and I definitely
enjoyed. I am sure that all of you have a
story or stories that you can tell where the plans and reality werent exactly the
same.
How many of us say, I dont
believe in this Life Plan thing, because I never would have planned it this way? Because of our Free Will and the choices we make
our plan and the reality is not always the same. In
many cases we look only at the big events in our lives such as loss, or jealousy, or
comparison, or hatred, and we let these rule our lives.
We dont allow ourselves the State of Being Happy. Many times we are so busy thinking about what the
outcome will be that we dont allow ourselves to enjoy the journey. We ignore the little things that bring us joy and
pleasure because we dont believe we deserve happiness.
I am asking you today to learn to enjoy the
journey. Hold dear to your heart the little
things that bring joy and pleasure to you. Look
at everyday as a blessing for each and every experience we have during this lifetime is an
opportunity for growth. Know that when this
vacation is over you get to return back home. While
you are here on vacation, please enjoy the journey. I would like for you all to repeat this
short prayer with me. Dear Mother God, Father God, and the
Holy Spirit,
Thank you for your guidance and protection. Thank you for the many blessings you give to me. Thank you for giving me this opportunity (pause)
to experience for myself and for you (pause) during this lifetime. I love you and I will enjoy the journey.
Amen |
